Board game nights, sorted

BoardMate

Lighter than BGG. More focused than social media.

Organise your board game collection and share one link so friends can vote on tonight's game — no app to install, and the session turns into a record automatically.

Coming Soon — Join the Beta Closed Beta is on the way. The link will appear here at launch.

Sound familiar?

Before the night

Picking a game over group chat with a wall of 3×3 screenshots — everyone's eyes glaze over and nothing gets chosen.

Mid-game

Nobody remembers the rules, so half the table is Googling or asking a Facebook group while the game stalls.

After the night

You mean to log who won and how many plays it was, but it means opening yet another app and typing it all in — so you don't.

Day to day

You want to track your collection on BGG, but its eight statuses are overkill — you just want to know what you own and what you want to play.

BoardMate isn't out to replace BGG — BGG already owns the game database. BoardMate adds a lighter layer of sharing and collaboration on top.

What you get

01

Collection management, synced with BGG

Import your BGG collection in one tap, simplified into statuses that are easy to scan (Own / Sold / Trylist / Wishlist / Played / Collaborator). Details BGG doesn't give you — weight, player count, rating — are filled in for you.

02

Public Profile — your collection, no app required

Generate your own link. Friends tap it and see your whole collection, including recent changes and your personal comments. No login, no install.

03

Events — vote on the game there and then

Create an event and share the link. Friends enter their name, vote on the spot, and tell you which game they're bringing. Live vote counts, updated in real time.

04

The night logs itself

When the event wraps, confirm which games actually got played in one tap and the play log writes itself. Attendance, cost splitting and a shareable scorecard, all in one flow.

05

Friends can contribute games too

Want a friend to add their own games to your collaborative collection ahead of time? No app, no login — they submit, you approve, and then you pick together.

06

Your group's little story

Your Public Profile shows how your group has grown together — how many sessions you've played, how many new games you've tried, how much friends have contributed. Warm and low-key, and it never calls anyone out by name.

How it works

1

Import

Enter your BGG username and pull in your collection in one tap.

2

Share

Open an event or a Public Profile link and send it to friends.

3

Play, log, repeat

Friends vote on the game; after the night, one tap confirms it and the record writes itself.

FAQ

Do friends need the app to vote?

No. They tap the link, type their name in the browser, and can vote, RSVP and tell you which game they're bringing.

Do I need a BGG account?

Importing a collection needs your BGG username (with a public collection). Without a BGG account you can still search and add games manually in the app.

Does BoardMate cost anything?

It's completely free during the MVP. If paid features arrive later (multi-device sync, for example), we'll announce them separately and they won't affect what's free today.
